Are you sure your patient's lateral elbow pain is a tendinitis?

One of the most common diagnosis for lateral elbow pain is lateral epichondylitis, or "tennis elbow".  This diagnosis suggests that the pain originates from the conjoint tendon of the wrist extensor muscles.

However, lateral elbow pain can also originate from the radiohumeral joint.

Differentiating between the two can make all the difference in delivering an effective treatment!
