The Advanced Manual Techniques in the Cervical Spine course is a hands-on experience aimed to introduce or enhance specific manual approaches for the examination and treatment of acute and recurrent cervical pain conditions.

Instructors focus on mastering manual techniques in small group and one-on-one mentorship. All associated theory and interpretation of findings are included in the online, Hybrid, and NEXT courses, so you can dedicate this time to practice application.

Objectives and Goals

By the end of the course the participant will:
  • be able to identify, through a systematic process, 5 different key landmarks around the cervical complex aimed to assist in the clinical examination and joint specific treatment clinical approaches.
  • decide which specific clinical tests are the most informative for diagnosis from the general clinical examination of the lower cervical segments for a patient with acute, recurrent or chronic cervical pain.
  • design 3 effective treatment interventions for acute pain such as those related to whiplash and cervicogenic headaches.
  • design 3 effective treatment interventions for recurrent discogenic pain.
  • design 3 effective treatment interventions for localized myofascial restrictions and pain syndrome of the cervical region.
