BIO

Chris Massey received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy in 1995 from Tennessee State University in Nashville. Chris has over 25 years of clinical experience working with Hand and Upper Extremity injuries. One of his main reasons for pursuing Occupational Therapy was his interest in Work Hardening and Ergonomics/Job site Analysis. He was certified as an Ergonomics Assessment Specialist from the Back School of Atlanta in 2009. Chris found Hand Therapy during a college clinical rotation in Pensacola, Florida. He became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2001. Chris has been an active guest instructor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Occupational and Physical Therapy programs since 2017. With the desire to learn and push himself, he then obtained his Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist designation from the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine in 2022. Since 2008, Chris has been working at the Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
